Wallara Australia Ltd and Melbourne Event Group (MEG) to Transform Sages Cottage Farm into a Premier Wedding and Event Venue

  • Written by The Women's Magazine

Social enterprise and disability employer, Sages Cottage Farm is partnering with Melbourne Event Group (MEG) to collaboratively transform its 38-acre Farm into a premier, inclusive wedding and events venue.

Located on the Mornington Peninsula, Sages Cottage Farm currently houses beautifully manicured rose gardens, a rustic cafe, vegetable gardens and farm animals, run by people with predominantly intellectual disabilities.

The partnership will create more employment opportunities for people with disability and contributes to the disability organisation behind the farm, Wallara Australia’s vision of making Sages the most inclusive farm in the country.

Wallara’s CEO Phil Hayes-Brown says the rustic farm aesthetic is the perfect match for weddings and events and through partnering with MEG their vision for inclusion is fulfilled.

“MEG is that partner and we are so excited to have one of the best event and catering teams in Melbourne partner with us,” he said.

The collaboration between Wallara and MEG thrives off their shared belief in the transformative power of events to bring people together.

MEG Direction Eric Cohen said: “Aligning with Wallara allows us to contribute to a vision where inclusivity and excellence coexist seamlessly”.

Sages Cottage Farm offers a rich history of meticulously restored 1850s heritage-protected buildings which is a unique backdrop, creating a timeless ambiance for celebrations.

“We believe The Stables is not just a venue; it's a journey through time and a celebration of joy, where every detail contributes to creating an extraordinary experience for any special event,” Mr Cohen added.
